Netflix has begun a collaboration with Spanish streamer Filmin, giving Netflix members in Spain a dedicated monthly selection of films and documentaries curated by Filmin’s editorial team. The first collection, titled “October Mysteries,” launched on Thursday and features titles such as David Cronenberg’s The Shrouds and Colin and Cameron Cairnes’ Late Night with the Devil.
According to the announcement, a new set of ten titles will be added on the first day of each month, while the previous month’s collection remains available for a second month. The partners said the agreement allows beloved Filmin titles to reach a wider audience, with themes changing seasonally.
Diego Ávalos, Netflix’s vice‑president of content for Spain, Portugal and Turkey, said the collaboration combines Filmin’s relationship with a discerning audience and Netflix’s global reach. Juan Carlos Tous, CEO and founder of Filmin, praised the partnership as recognition of the platform’s two‑decade‑long commitment to cinema.
