Jamaat‑e‑Islami (JI) Karachi chief Monem Zafar Khan has asked the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to conduct a retest for the top 100 candidates in the 2026 MDCAT, according to dailytimes.com.pk.

In a letter to PMDC President Dr Rizwan Taj, Khan said the exam lacked transparency, pointing to overcrowded centres in Karachi – about 9,500 candidates were placed in only two venues – and contrasting this with 19 centres in Peshawar and six in Lahore. He also highlighted complaints about answer‑key errors for Biology, Chemistry and Physics (papers A and D) and alleged that examination papers were handled by IBA Sukkur, raising further doubts.

Khan urged the council to investigate possible result alterations and to publish a detailed account of the more than Rs 1.26 billion collected for the test. Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has directed the PMDC to look into the grievances, the outlet added.
