Bleacher Report relayed that multiple players are on NFL teams' radar as the trade deadline approaches on Nov. 10, according to a report by Jonathan Jones of The Athletic.
What happened
Jones said sources indicated interest in Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith, Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne, Colts defensive tackle Grover Stewart, Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. He added that the trade market is currently "quiet" despite the Steelers' recent deal sending cornerback Joey Porter Jr. to Dallas for a 2028 second‑round and a 2027 sixth‑round pick.
What was said
Jones noted that Thibodeaux, the No. 5 overall pick in 2022, posted a career‑high 11.5 sacks in 2023 but has only eight sacks this season, partly because the Giants signed Brian Burns and drafted Abdul Carter. Thibodeaux will become a free agent after the season, making a trade logical if New York does not re‑sign him. Regarding Thomas, Jones highlighted his 2024 rookie surge of 87 receptions for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns, followed by a drop to 48 catches for 707 yards last year. He has recorded just seven catches for 88 yards in the first three games of 2026, and the Jaguars must decide on his 2028 option next offseason.
