Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is the subject of mixed evaluations from NFL executives, according to reporting by Bleacher Report that cites The Athletic and ESPN. The Athletic's Jonathan Jones said multiple sources who reviewed Harrison's 2026 tape "do not see a receiver playing with the energy and effort of a No. 1 wideout." An unnamed AFC executive added that Harrison "is like a third receiver with upside" and lacks speed, physicality, and post‑catch ability.

Another AFC executive suggested that injuries, drops, and an unstable quarterback situation could prompt a change of scenery for Harrison, though the Cardinals would likely want to retain him as an asset. To date, Harrison has recorded four catches for 73 yards in the Cardinals' 1‑2 start to the season, with most targets going to tight end Trey McBride and receivers Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reported that league perception views Harrison as a poor fit for Arizona's offense, which prioritizes McBride, leading some teams to consider him a potential trade target. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler estimated Harrison's trade value at roughly a "quality Day 3 pick." Graziano noted the Cardinals have not indicated any interest in trading the rookie.
