The Celtics will honor Brown with a video during the Sixers' regular‑season game in Boston, after his July trade to Philadelphia.

The Boston Celtics intend to show a tribute video for former star Jaylen Brown when the Philadelphia 76ers play in Boston during the regular season in January, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.
Brown was traded to Philadelphia in July for Paul George and draft picks, ending his decade‑long tenure with the Celtics, who drafted him in 2016. The teams will meet in a preseason game on Saturday, but the tribute is slated for the later regular‑season matchup.
Brown helped Boston reach two NBA Finals, winning a title in 2024 and earning Eastern Conference MVP, Finals MVP, five All‑Star selections and two All‑NBA Second Team honors. Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens said the trade was partly driven by financial considerations, noting both Brown and Jayson Tatum are on max contracts.
