Liam Gallagher responded with profanity on X to former Coronation Street actor Charlie Lawson on 29 September 2026 after Lawson wrote that Oasis were “distinctly average”. Gallagher called Lawson a “silly old c***” and later added, “Like your f***ing acting skills.”
Lawson, best known for playing Jim McDonald from 1989 to 2018, had posted a poll asking whether Oasis were “overhyped” or “one of the best bands”. Gallagher’s replies continued as he insulted other users, describing Lawson as an “actor in his f***ing dreams”.
The exchange comes as Gallagher promotes the band’s upcoming 2027 reunion tour, which he recently urged fans to “stop moaning” about ticket prices, adding, “Don’t f***ing buy them SIMPLE.”
