By Felo News Desk · Published

Littleton Auctions announced on September 29 that the planned October 3 sale of the "Desk Tapes" – a collection of more than 100 hours of unreleased Oasis live shows, soundchecks and rehearsals recorded by former sound engineer Huw Richards – has been withdrawn after the band filed an injunction, according to the auction house.

Ben Homer, managing director of Littleton, said the auction of the tapes was suspended in light of the legal proceedings and that the rest of the sale, including memorabilia such as tour itineraries, setlists, an Epiphone guitar and a Kangol park‑a, will proceed as scheduled.

Owain Richards, son of the collector who assembled the tapes, confirmed that Oasis have sued to block the auction and that the parties have agreed to postpone the sale until the dispute is resolved.
