BRS leader Harish Rao says Congress halted Siddipet development projects
Harish Rao accused the state government of abandoning schemes promised after the district’s creation in 2016.

At a public meeting in Siddipet on Oct. 11, BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao alleged that the Congress‑led government of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has stopped or cancelled a range of development projects initiated under the previous BRS administration. Rao said the district, formed in 2016, had brought services closer to residents of mandals such as Husnabad, Cherial, Dubbak and Wargal, but that farmers now face power cuts and "artificial drought" despite water availability in the Krishna and Godavari rivers.
He listed irrigation schemes – Ananthagiri, Gouravelli, Ranganayakasagar, Mallannasagar and Kondapochammasagar – as having improved agriculture, yet claimed pumps at Kaleshwaram, Kalwakurthy and Devadula are not being operated properly. Rao also said roads, a veterinary college, a sports stadium, tourism works and an agriculture college have been halted, and urged Chief Minister Reddy to apologise and complete a pending crop‑loan waiver for about 24,000 farmers.
