Ohana Development and Manchester City broke ground on the Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana at the newly opened Experience Centre on Yas Canal, Abu Dhabi, on 29 September 2026. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) and senior executives from both companies.
CEO Husein Salem said the project would combine distinctive design, quality and attainable luxury in a strategic location, while City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano highlighted the partnership’s shared focus on performance, innovation and progress. The development is the world’s first Manchester City‑branded residential community and aims to create a neighbourhood centred on wellness, sport, performance and an elevated everyday living approach.
Prior to construction, the project attracted unprecedented demand, achieving Dh6 billion in sales within 72 hours of launch. The Experience Centre offers immersive audio‑visual displays and detailed models to showcase the residences.
