UK to see 27°C temperatures on Tuesday before rain and wind arrive
Met Office forecasters say Tuesday will bring unusually warm highs of up to 27 °C before a front brings rain and gusty winds.

The Met Office says parts of the United Kingdom will experience "notably warm" weather on Tuesday, with highs reaching 27 °C, especially in London and the south‑east, before rain and wind move in later in the week.
Stephen Dixon, a Met Office spokesperson, described Tuesday’s high as "notable for this time of year" and said it will feel "fairly unseasonable for many". He added that an overnight low of 19 °C would also be unusual for late September.
The weather front expected to arrive late on Tuesday will bring rainfall of 20‑30 mm to western areas, with totals of up to 40 mm in some spots, and gusty winds exceeding 50 mph, potentially generating large waves along western coasts. Wednesday is forecast to be "fairly wet and blustery" across much of the country, with around 10 mm of rain in many places.
By Thursday and Friday, the Met Office expects a mix of sunshine and showers, while higher pressure should bring more settled conditions over the weekend.
