The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a red alert for foggy conditions from 5:15 am to 9:00 am on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, across the country. The alert follows a forecast of humid weather that could bring light to moderate winds and a chance of rainfall in eastern parts of the UAE.

Temperatures are expected to range between 25 °C and 45 °C, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai recording highs of 39 °C and 38 °C respectively, and lows around 29 °C. The NCM warned that clouds forming in the east could become convective by the afternoon, potentially producing showers.

Wind speeds are forecast to be 10–20 km hr-1, reaching up to 35 km hr-1 at times. Sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Earlier this week, the NCM had issued red and yellow fog alerts on 23 September as autumn began, with visibility expected to drop below 1 km until 8:30 am. The same agency noted that temperatures would peak at 41 °C in Abu Dhabi and fall to 27 °C in Sharjah.

Weather officials advised residents to stay informed and exercise caution, particularly during the early morning hours when visibility could be severely reduced.
