Less than 24 hours after three motorcyclists opened fire on Tiger Shroff’s car in Juhu, Mumbai, actor Suniel Shetty greeted fellow veteran Jackie Shroff with a hug at a ceremony renaming a road after late composer Bappi Lahiri. The event, attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, marked Shroff’s first public appearance since the attack.
What happened
On Sunday evening, Shroff was leaving a football match near Pushpa Park when gunmen fired five rounds at his BMW. He escaped with minor abrasions; his driver was hit and hospitalized, and a bystander also sustained injuries. Police quickly apprehended the suspects at Kota Junction in Rajasthan on Monday afternoon.
What the reports add
Gulf News noted that Shroff’s teammate Karan Veer Mehra, who was driving the car behind Shroff, saw blood after the shooting. The outlet also reported that Shroff later met Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, showing bandages on his hand and chest. At the road‑renaming ceremony, officials from the Chief Minister’s Office said Shroff and Shetty chatted briefly but did not discuss the shooting.
What was said
Shetty told reporters, quoted by Hindustan Times, that if a widely loved star like Tiger can be targeted, “it could happen to anyone.” He added that safety has become “so, so important” and expressed relief that Shroff was fine while the driver recovered.
How it came about
The incident follows a series of attacks on Bollywood personalities, prompting a police manhunt and statements from Maharashtra officials. Earlier Felo News coverage documented the shooting, the injuries, and the government’s response.
