Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was not injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on his car near Pushpa Park in Juhu, Mumbai, on Sunday evening, according to Gulf News.
What happened
Shortly after a football match at Pushpa Park, Shroff’s vehicle was targeted by three men on a motorcycle. The gunfire struck the driver and a staff member, who were later hospitalized, while Shroff escaped without injury. Witnesses said a crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor as his car left the ground.
What the reports add
One Gulf News report notes that eighteen players, including actors Aparshakti Khurana and Abhimanyu Dassani, participated in the match and were still on the field when the shooting occurred. Another report adds that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Shroff’s residence and warned that criminal gangs would be pursued. Both pieces mention that video footage of the incident circulated online, though the authenticity of the clips has not been independently verified.
What was said
Television actor Karanveer Mehra, who was at the venue, told NDTV, “My car was right behind. By the time we left the gate, I just saw blood spots, and I got to know that Tiger’s driver had been shot. So, I’m just happy that he’s safe, but my heart goes out to the driver, and I hope he recovers well.” Gulf News reported that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde warned that gangs responsible for such attacks would not be spared.
How it came about
Shroff’s participation in the football match was part of a casual gathering of film and television personalities at Pushpa Park. The incident follows earlier coverage by Felo News on the same day, which reported that three men on a motorcycle opened fire near the park, injuring Shroff’s driver and an autorickshaw driver while the actor was seen driving away (Felo article). Police have formed multiple investigation teams, and an audio message claiming responsibility by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been circulated, though it remains unverified.
