Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) unveiled a new visual identity on 20 October 2026 to mark its 20th anniversary, bringing all 20 museums under a single design, Gulf News reported.
The logo and graphics are inspired by the arches of Sharjah’s historic buildings, using flowing calligraphic elements that symbolize creativity, movement, discovery and connection. The colour palette blends traditional heritage tones with a contemporary approach, creating a cohesive visual system for the authority.
Maissa Saif Alsuwaidi, director‑general of SMA, said the identity “reinforces our commitment to preserving heritage, enriching knowledge and keeping museums vibrant spaces for learning, discovery and cultural dialogue.” The rebranding also signals SMA’s ambition to expand its international presence and enhance visitor experiences as it enters its third decade.
The launch aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, who places culture and knowledge at the heart of Sharjah’s development. Earlier this month, Sharjah introduced the Najm AI platform to boost cultural and economic initiatives.
