Sam Fender posted a Lord of the Rings‑inspired teaser video on TikTok, lighting "beacons" at several UK and Ireland stadiums and hinting at a 2027 stadium tour, Independent reported on 20 October 2026.
What happened
The video shows beacons at St James’s Park in Newcastle, Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Malahide Castle in Ireland, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Wembley Stadium in London. The Wembley show would be Fender’s biggest to date.
What the reports add
The Independent notes that Fender performed three headline shows at St James’s Park in 2025 and that the 2027 tour would follow a quieter 12‑month period he promised after his 2025 Wythenshawe Park show. The article also mentions his duet "Rein Me In" with Olivia Dean, which spent 23 non‑consecutive weeks at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart.
What was said
Fender told the 2025 Wythenshawe Park crowd, "I’m gonna go away at the end of this lot of shows and sort my s*** out and get my voice as good as possible and make another album and f*** loads of new tunes next year," as quoted by the Independent.
How it came about
Fender’s latest album, People Watching, won the 2025 Mercury Prize at a ceremony held in Newcastle. The teaser follows the success of his recent duet with Olivia Dean and builds anticipation ahead of the announced 2027 stadium dates.
