Dubai – On 5 October, a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Ibiza was disrupted when a passenger ignored the illuminated seatbelt sign to use the toilet as the aircraft prepared to descend. Other travellers confronted him, leading to a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation involving several passengers, according to eyewitness Harry Watson, a 28‑year‑old from Northampton.

Cabin crew repeatedly instructed the man to return to his seat, and he had to be restrained more than once. The fight continued in the aisle until the aircraft landed at Ibiza Airport, where Spanish police boarded the plane and escorted the disruptive passenger away. Ryanair said its crew had requested police assistance and reiterated its zero‑tolerance policy for disruptive behaviour.
