Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur told Geo News that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) made no special preparations for its long march, which has been rescheduled for October 4.
Gandapur said the change in the march’s date weakened the party and that greater pressure on the federal government could force it to meet PTI’s demands. He claimed provincial authorities lack power across the province and that ministers, lawmakers and party workers are being taken into custody.
The former chief minister added that he could return as chief minister if PTI founder Imran Khan ordered him to do so, noting that Khan had previously instructed him to leave the post. Gandapur also described his recent meeting with current KP chief minister Sohail Afridi as pleasant and respectful, emphasizing their shared Pashtun traditions of hospitality.
