Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday condemned an attack on the Santoshi Mata temple in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, and blamed the state government for inadequate security.

Kishan Reddy posted on social media that attacks on temples and "appeasement politics" have become routine under the Congress dispensation, calling the incident "shameful" and saying the Revanth Reddy cabinet has not taken action.

He also referenced a recent remark by Revanth Reddy linking Congress to Muslims, saying such comments fuel community anxiety. Kishan Reddy demanded an apology, strict punishment for the culprits, and an end to "vote‑bank and appeasement politics".

Bandi Sanjay Kumar described the incident as "outrageous and completely unacceptable", said he had spoken to the city police commissioner, and urged an immediate investigation and firm action, insisting the Congress government must ensure temple security.
