Saudi Arabia's King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh issued an advisory on October 8, warning passengers of possible flight delays, rescheduling and cancellations following deadly Houthi attacks on the kingdom's airports, Gulf News reported.

The Houthi missile and drone strikes on Tuesday and Wednesday hit King Khalid Airport and Abha International Airport, killing three civilians – a Sudanese national at Riyadh and two women, a Moroccan and an Algerian, at Abha – and injuring 36 people, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). The Riyadh attack also caused material damage to airport facilities.

Flight‑tracking data showed that on Thursday morning 58 departures were delayed and 11 flights cancelled at King Khalid Airport, with some passengers facing several‑hour waits. The airport urged travellers to verify their flight status with airlines before heading to the terminal.

Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks, which come amid escalating hostilities with Saudi‑backed Yemeni forces, Gulf News said.
