iONLINE launches Sydney breakout point to cut latency for IoT and enterprise traffic
The new Australian breakout, built on Stacuity’s cloud‑native core, aims to reduce latency and give customers faster regional roll‑out.

iONLINE Connected Networks announced that its Sydney breakout point went live on 6 October 2026, adding a localised exit for device traffic in Australia.
What happened
The Sydney site joins existing breakout locations in the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa, creating a distributed global network core that routes traffic closer to where devices operate.
What the reports add
TechCentral notes that most global enterprise roaming solutions currently push traffic back to the UK or EU, whereas iONLINE’s Australian point keeps traffic in‑region, lowering latency for IoT and enterprise data flows.
What was said
“Enterprise connectivity should not force customers to choose between global reach and local performance,” iONLINE CEO David Farquharson told TechCentral.
“When customers need to scale, optimise or respond, they can do it quickly and with confidence. They’re getting real‑time agility that moves at the speed of opportunity,” he added.
How it came about
The rollout leverages cloud‑native, software‑defined mobile core technology from Stacuity, enabling real‑time traffic management and policy enforcement across regions. iONLINE says the architecture will support faster regional roll‑out, more stable performance for critical applications, reduced downtime risk and improved operational responsiveness for verticals such as healthcare, logistics, utilities, smart infrastructure and transportation.
