Netflix’s upcoming original movie Heartland, directed by Shana Feste and starring Jessica Chastain, will be accompanied by a country‑music soundtrack released on Nov. 13 alongside the film, Billboard reported. The soundtrack is led by Jennifer Nettles, Carter Faith, Carly Pearce and Margo Price, with additional contributions from Ross Lynch, Heart Sisters, Trannie Anderson and others. Nettles and Faith also appear in acting roles; Nettles plays fellow singer Winnie Jo Lean, while Faith portrays the missing niece whose disappearance drives the plot.
The track list includes “Heartland” performed by Chastain featuring Nettles, “Heartbreak Country” by Ross Lynch, and “Still the Sparrow Sings” by Faith, among other collaborations. The film follows retired country singer Misty Jones (Chastain) as she investigates her niece’s disappearance and confronts a corrupt music industry. The project marks Chastain’s second country‑themed role after her award‑winning turn as Tammy Wynette in the 2022 miniseries George & Tammy.
