Resale platforms are listing two‑ticket bundles for the New York Knicks’ season‑opening game against the Philadelphia 76ers at $1,146 to $1,478, Rolling Stone reported on Oct. 3.

What happened

The Knicks, fresh off their first NBA Finals banner‑raising in 53 years, will host the 76ers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Primary sales on Ticketmaster sold out quickly, pushing fans to third‑party sites where prices fluctuate daily.

What the reports add

Rolling Stone notes that StubHub lists tickets at $1,178 for two seats, Vivid Seats at just under $1,146, SeatGeek at $1,169, and TicketNetwork at $1,478. The outlet also mentions promo codes: Vivid Seats offers $30 off $300+ purchases with code RS30, and SeatGeek provides $10 off orders over $250 with code ROLLINGSTONE10.

What was said

Rolling Stone highlights StubHub’s “FanProtect Guarantee” and a 120% refund policy if the game is cancelled and not rescheduled.

How it came about

The surge follows the Knicks’ championship win in June, their ESPY appearance and a scheduled SNL cameo, which have driven citywide demand. Earlier this month Felo News covered a pricing error that briefly halted individual ticket sales, prompting the club to roll back prices and issue refunds.
