Calgary detached home prices fall 0.95% in September, CREB reports

The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) said its September 2026 housing report recorded a 0.95 % year‑over‑year decline in benchmark detached home prices, bringing the city‑wide average to $739,400.

The northeast quadrant posted the biggest fall, with prices down 6.01 % to $556,600, while east Calgary dropped 4.99 % to $476,200, making it the cheapest area. North Calgary saw a 3.80 % decline to $640,200.

Two quadrants rose: west Calgary increased 2.69 % to $993,700, the highest city price, and the city centre edged up 0.72 % to $981,300. Other home types also fell, with apartments down 8.3 % to $291,400 and row‑style homes down 5.5 % to $412,400.
