ADEPTS launches free ICV score calculator for UAE firms
The calculator estimates ICV performance based on local spending, investment, Emiratisation and other factors.

Dubai – ADEPTS Chartered Accountants has released a free online In‑Country Value (ICV) Score Calculator, allowing UAE businesses to obtain an early estimate of their ICV score before the official certification process, Gulf News reported on 7 October 2026.
What happened
The tool, hosted at taxadepts.com/icv-score-calculator, lets companies input financial and workforce data to receive a percentage estimate and a component breakdown. It follows the methodology of the National ICV framework, covering third‑party spending, UAE investment, Emiratisation, expatriate employee costs, exports and technology‑related bonuses. The calculator distinguishes between manufacturers and service providers.
What was said
Aaliyan Ibrahim, founder and managing partner of ADEPTS, told Gulf News that firms have traditionally treated ICV as an annual certificate rather than a continuously managed commercial score. He said the calculator “allows leadership teams to understand their position early, identify opportunities for improvement, and make more informed decisions before beginning the formal certification process.”
How it came about
ICV scores influence government and semi‑government contract evaluations, but official scores are only issued after a certification review of financial, employment, procurement and investment records. By providing an early estimate, ADEPTS aims to give companies time to adjust underlying figures before formal assessment.
