A drone strike near the market town of al‑Dibab in West Kordofan, Sudan, killed 80 people on Sunday evening, the Guardian reported.

Witness Ahmed Wadi said the drones hit the transport hub twice, ten minutes apart, as commuters gathered to travel home after market day. He helped bury 50 bodies, including his brother Mohamed, and said 47 survivors were taken to al‑Mujlad, where a medical source said 30 later died of injuries.

The medical source, who asked to remain anonymous, added that a second drone strike in al‑Mujlad injured four people who are now receiving treatment.

The RSF‑controlled administration, known as Tasis, blamed the Sudanese army for the attack, while the broader conflict has seen a surge in drone use, accounting for at least 880 civilian deaths between January and April 2026.
