Marissa Mayer unveils photo‑centric AI assistant Dazzle
Mayer says the assistant can infer hobbies, travel and family interests from photos.

Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced Dazzle, a personal AI assistant that draws all of its context from a user’s camera roll. Mayer explained that photos can reveal more about a person than email or calendar data, and that Dazzle can use that information to suggest tasks, events and personalised ideas.
The startup, which raised an $8 million seed round in December, offers two core functions: instant task assistance by scanning recent photos, and long‑term idea generation based on a full photo library. Mayer demonstrated the tool’s ability to recommend family outings and vacation spots by analysing past trips and activities captured in pictures.
