Viewers of BBC One's "Celebrity Traitors" series two think a candle flicker in the closing moments of the 1 October premiere may have given away which contestant was "murdered", The Independent reported.

The episode ended with designated Traitors Maya Jama and Richard E Grant selecting a third accomplice, choosing comedian James Acaster over journalist Amol Rajan. Both Acaster and Rajan were summoned at night to plead their case, and the coffin lid was closed on the "murdered" contestant. Fans noted that the candle flame trembled on Rajan’s side as the lid shut, interpreting it as a visual cue that Acaster survived.

One viewer wrote, “Judging by the candle flicker on Maya’s side. James is still alive and it wasn’t his coffin shut,” while another pointed out that Jama and Grant stared toward Rajan’s coffin, adding, “Reckon @amolrajan was murdered.” A dissenting fan warned the flicker could be a production misdirection.
