From a cavapoo at Louis Vuitton to a shih tzu in a puffer jacket, dogs were seen on laps and runways across the week, according to The Guardian.

The most recent fashion week, which concluded on Tuesday, saw a surge of four‑legged guests alongside the usual celebrity crowd, The Guardian reported. Dogs were spotted on the laps of attendees and even walking the catwalk at several houses.

At a Balenciaga show, creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s rescue dog sat beside Brooklyn Beckham and Nicole Peltz. Tommy Hilfiger bowed out with a fluffy Samoyed that resembled the pet featured in a recent campaign with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. A miniature schnauzer in goggles and a chihuahua in a puffer jacket strutted at Chopova Lowena, while a cavapoo attended a Louis Vuitton presentation and a shih tzu appeared at Schiaparelli.

Freelance fashion writer Madeleine Rothery has been bringing her five‑year‑old Boston terrier, Disco, to shows for two years, saying the dog helps guests relax and converse. "People find her quite entertaining," Rothery told The Guardian, adding that the presence of a dog can ease the tension of runway events.

Other canine regulars include Prada, a five‑year‑old teacup pomchi owned by Bricks magazine editor Tori West, who says photographers call her name before heading into a show. The Guardian also noted the late Demi Moore’s 1.2‑lb chihuahua Pilaf, a former regular, and Paris Hilton’s dog Prince Tokyo Gizmo Hilton, who debuted on the front row at a Gucci show.

The trend reflects a broader cultural shift, with dogs appearing on specialist clothing lines, magazine covers and even in local pubs, signalling their growing role in fashion and popular life.
