European film studio Anton Studios announced a minority investment in The Creatives, a producer‑owned holding group that will bring together leading production companies across Europe, Israel and the United States, Variety reported on 30 September 2026.
The Creatives, founded as a strategic partnership in 2021, is moving to a jointly owned holding structure that will make it the first European‑rooted producer‑owned group of its scale in film and television. Romain Bessi will remain chief executive, while the collective includes Haut et Court and Unité (France), Komplizen and Razor Film (Germany), Good Chaos (UK), Lemming Film (Netherlands and Belgium), Maipo Film (Norway), Spiro (Israel) and Masha (U.S.).
Anton Studios’ portfolio includes projects such as “In Love” (George Clooney, Annette Bening), “Pumping Black” (Jonathan Bailey, Natalie Portman) and the crime thriller “My Darling California” (Jessica Chastain, Chris Evan, Chris Pine, Mikey Madison, Don Cheadle). Bessi said the new structure was “always the point” and that producers had been meeting informally for years before deciding to formalise a group.
