The Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) announced on Oct. 15 that Amazon MGM Studios’ Albert Cheng will serve as its new chair. Tim McNeal was re‑elected for a second term as president, and CEO Melissa Grego renewed her contract to lead the organization through 2028.
Grego, who has headed HRTS since October 2017, said she is honored to continue working with the board and members as the society approaches its 80th anniversary next year. Cheng, who joined the HRTS board in 2024, is vice president of AI Studios at Amazon MGM and will succeed former chair David Madden.
McNeal, a former senior vice president at Disney Television Studios, praised Cheng’s appointment and noted that the board’s composition will remain largely unchanged for the next two years, with Christina Davis staying as vice president, Scott Hervey as secretary and Linnea McArt as treasurer.
