Cineverse announced a partnership with horror creator Trevor Henderson to adapt his "Mayfair Watchers Society" podcast into a feature‑length found‑footage anthology, Variety reported on Oct. 15.

What happened

The podcast, launched in 2022 on Cineverse’s Bloody FM network, presents "found tapes" of residents confronting Henderson’s signature monsters. The upcoming film will weave together episodes featuring creatures such as "The Needle," "Creekman," "Owls with Teeth," "Mr. Bag," "Anxious Dogs," "Scissors" and "The Clatter."

What was said

Henderson told Variety, "The Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting teams have been great partners on the podcast, and I’ve long been impressed with the film side of the company, and its indie philosophy. I look forward to being very hands‑on with adapting the podcast into a feature, and look forward to working closely with them as we develop the film, select the directing and writing teams, and get closer to bringing this to fans."

How it came about

The deal was negotiated by Macias and Cineverse VP Creative Development and Filmmaker Relations Steven Peros. Henderson, whose characters Siren Head and Cartoon Cat have recently attracted major studio interest, will also serve as a producer and member of the writing team.
