NASA astronaut Victor Glover, who became the first Black astronaut to fly to the moon on Artemis II, has signed a representation deal with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The deal covers all areas of his career, according to Variety.
Glover, a retired U.S. Navy captain, first made history in 2020 when he piloted SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Resilience on its first operational flight to the International Space Station. He served as a flight engineer for Expeditions 64 and 65, becoming the first Black American to live aboard the ISS. In April 2024, he piloted Artemis II, completing a nearly 10‑day mission that took the crew as far as 252,756 miles from Earth – the farthest distance any human has travelled.
Over his career, Glover has logged 178 days in space and completed four spacewalks. He has flown more than 45 aircraft, accumulating over 4,000 flight hours, and has received numerous military and NASA awards, including the Defense Superior Service Medal and the NASA Distinguished Service Medal.
Glover, a California Polytechnic State University alumnus, now serves as an executive advisor at the university and holds master’s degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School. He also has honorary doctorates from California Polytechnic State University and Howard University.
