Dubai – The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned that Tuesday will see more rain across parts of the country as temperatures soar to 43 °C in inland areas, according to Gulf News.

What happened

The forecast calls for fair to partly cloudy skies with convective clouds developing over eastern and western regions in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range between 39 °C and 43 °C inland, while coastal zones and islands will see highs of 35 °C to 40 °C. Mountainous areas should be cooler, with temperatures of 27 °C to 33 °C. Winds will shift from southeasterly to northeasterly, blowing at 10‑25 km/h and gusting up to 40 km/h in inland and mountainous zones, potentially stirring dust.

What the reports add

Gulf News notes that humidity will rise overnight, especially in western regions, increasing the chance of mist formation. The NCM also predicts a similar chance of rain on Wednesday, with clouds forming over eastern and western areas in the afternoon, and comparable conditions on Thursday, including possible showers over southern regions. Winds of up to 40 km/h could cause blowing dust on both days. By Friday and Saturday, the outlook shifts to fair to partly cloudy, with lingering high humidity and a reduced wind speed of up to 30 km/h.

What was said

The NCM statement, cited by Gulf News, describes the weather pattern as being driven by an extension of a surface low‑pressure system accompanied by a weak upper‑air low‑pressure system.

How it came about

These latest forecasts follow a series of recent advisories from the NCM, including a red fog alert on Tuesday morning and earlier warnings of high temperatures and dust across the UAE in late September. Felo previously reported on the October weather outlook, noting above‑average rainfall and a slight temperature dip as the region moves into its autumn transition.
