Rolling Stone reports that Arkansas‑born country artist Trey Pendley issued his debut album Signs of Life on Leo33 Records last month.

The 13‑track record, co‑written by Pendley, features two of the final songs penned with the late Ronnie Bowman, who died in March 2026. Pendley said the album reflects his upbringing in Toad Suck, a small town 40 miles northwest of Little Rock, and his hopes for the future.

Among the tracks, “Small Potatoes” and “Spend My Time Lovin’” were written with Bowman and fellow songwriter Kendell Marvel. Pendley, who has toured with Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne and Blackberry Smoke, also noted that Luke Combs recorded his co‑write “15 Minutes” for the latter’s The Way I Am album earlier this year.

In the interview, Pendley described himself as “a redneck through and through” and said his childhood involved playing with his grandfather’s wheelchairs, a memory he linked to his rural sensibility.
