TikTok disclosed a partnership with Made By Us Studios, the production arm of creator‑management firm Made By All, to co‑produce creator‑led vertical series for TikTok and its micro‑drama platform PineDrama. The deal, announced at the Cannes‑based MIPCOM market, marks the platform's second major micro‑drama agreement after a partnership with Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media earlier this year.
Made By Us Studios, led by former Range Partner Tanya Cohen, founder Leanne Perice and president of production Nic Stanich, will develop two initial projects. Player is described as a romantic revenge thriller starring and co‑executive‑produced by creator Hannah Stocking, with additional production by Jonas Barnes. The series was written by Arun Blair‑Mangat and Chela Reyna and directed by Louiza Zouzias. The second series, The Knock, is billed as a “genre microseries” starring content creator Adam Rose and actress Zaria Simone (known from Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin). It was created and directed by R. H. Stavis and executive‑produced by Spooky Pictures alongside musician Moby’s Little Walnut Productions, with Moby also composing the music.
“Micro‑series are pioneering a new language of storytelling,” TikTok’s global head of entertainment and micro‑series Dawn Yang said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Made By Us on a slate that puts creators at the center, alongside established producers and industry talent, to tell stories designed for the feed from the start.” Made By Us co‑CEO Tanya Cohen added that vertical series are “the next evolution” for creators, emphasizing that they are not merely smaller TV episodes but a new premium storytelling language.
