Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola told a Monday press conference that Dominik Szoboszlai’s lingering hamstring injury did not worsen during Liverpool’s win over Brentford, and the player will need more patience before returning.

Iraola said the problem is in the same spot as last week and that Szoboszlai “hasn’t worsened the injury but probably we have to be a little bit more patient until he recovers fully.” He added that the situation is “more or less the same” as before, so a long wait is not expected.

The coach also praised Szoboszlai for trying to play through the issue and highlighted right‑back Jeremie Frimpong’s separate muscle injury, noting the Dutchman was forced off six minutes after coming on at half‑time.
