Riza and Spanish singer‑songwriter Pablo Alborán premiered “Deditos Cruzados” on Oct. 1, a song first conceived during Billboard Latin Music Week’s 2025 “Making the Hit, Live!” panel.
The hour‑long session paired Alborán with rising Filipino‑Cuban artist Riza, producer Julio Reyes Copello and sound engineer Natalia Schlesinger in front of a live audience. The track blends Middle‑Eastern rhythms with soulful vocals and lyrics about longing.
Alborán told Billboard, “From Julio, I learned not to settle and to constantly seek emotion in everything I do in the studio.” Reyes Copello added, “Pablo is an artist from another planet – that’s what brought us together.”
“Deditos Cruzados” is the fourth song to emerge from the panel, following collaborations by Blessd & Ovy on the Drums, Pedro Capó & Carín León, and Grupo Frontera.
