Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the Maharashtra Competitive Examination Coordination Committee has registered its movement against paper leaks and other irregularities as a ‘satyagraha’ on the party’s portal. He launched the digital platform during the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ event in Pune, where students listed problems such as paper leaks, stalled recruitments, costly education, dilapidated hostels, unsafe food and DBT fraud. Gandhi posted on X in Hindi that he had urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to reform the MPSC, but saw no action, prompting the satyagraha. Within nine hours, over 10,000 people and groups submitted grievances. He demanded the MPSC chairman resign, an honest officer replace him, and the immediate filling of more than 70,000 vacant posts.
