The federal government of Pakistan announced on Thursday that petrol will rise by Rs 3.26 per litre to Rs 390.66, while high‑speed diesel (HSD) will fall by Rs 1.01 to Rs 399.34, effective Oct 2, 2026.
According to dailytimes.com.pk, the revised petrol price replaces the previous Rs 387.40 per litre, and the diesel price drops from Rs 400.35 per litre.
On the same day, the State Bank of Pakistan injected a total of Rs 729.3 billion into the market through a one‑day reverse repo purchase of Rs 579.3 billion and a Shariah‑compliant Mudarabah‑based open‑market operation of Rs 150 billion, aiming to maintain liquidity.
