Prosus says Just Eat Takeaway orders grow for first time in five years
The turnaround follows Prosus' 2025 acquisition and investment in technology and logistics.

Prosus, the global tech investor that bought Just Eat Takeaway for £3.6 billion in December 2025, said the food‑delivery platform's worldwide orders grew 0.1% year‑on‑year in September, reversing a 9% drop at the time of purchase. The modest increase ends 55 months of consecutive order declines, the company reported.
Prosus chief executive Fabricio Bloisi told Standard that the result marks “the first step” in a broader growth plan, citing work on technology, logistics, product, retention and marketing. He added that the group is investing in Just Eat Takeaway and its Brazilian iFood brand, willing to trade short‑term profitability for a stronger, faster‑growing business.
Prosus also highlighted its June results, showing adjusted earnings up 84% to $1.3 billion and revenue up 57%, driven by acquisitions. The investor is developing AI tools such as the OpenClaw agent, despite European data‑privacy concerns.
