Vijayawada – Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu told ministers, MLAs and coalition leaders in a teleconference on Saturday to coordinate their efforts and resolve any differences amicably ahead of the forthcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu said the party has adopted a social‑engineering strategy, allocating 11 mayoral seats to candidates from 11 distinct social groups. He urged alliance partners to uphold coalition principles at the grassroots level, visit constituencies and monitor opposition activity, particularly accusing the YSR Congress Party of actions that could disturb law and order.
He emphasized that victory must be secured across gram panchayats, mandal parishad territorial constituencies, zilla parishad territorial constituencies and municipalities, and that candidate selection reflected public opinion and cadre views.
Earlier, Naidu set a Nov. 15 deadline for completing the elections, as reported in Felo News.
