BJP Telangana chief N. Ramchander Rao vows win in graduate MLC polls

Rao urges workers to register graduates and claims educated voters favor the BJP ahead of the upcoming MLC elections.

Hyderabad – BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao told a meeting at the party’s state office on Saturday that the BJP will win both graduate‑constituency seats in the upcoming MLC elections.

Rao said party workers must lead the registration of eligible graduates and ensure they vote, accusing the Congress and BRS governments of creating public anger. He cited past victories in graduate and teachers’ constituencies and warned against alleged misuse of power by the ruling Congress.

Referencing historic wins by V. Rama Rao, L. S. Raju and T. Rajeshwara Rao, Rao noted a narrow loss by BJP candidate Ram Mohan Rao after the Telangana movement, followed by a later majority of nearly 23,000 votes. He also claimed BRS leaders spent over ₹200 crore in a prior election yet won only narrowly, and mentioned a campaign against the Centre over “vote theft” with foreign support.
