Microsoft is selling a lifetime license for Office 2024 at $114.97, a discount from the regular $149.99 price. The offer, promoted by Mashable, runs until 11:59 p.m. PT on Oct. 15.
The license covers Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote for both Windows and macOS. All four applications work offline, with files stored locally and synced when an internet connection is available. New features include Word’s Smart Compose, Excel’s dynamic array formulas such as FILTER, SORT and UNIQUE, and PowerPoint’s ability to record presentations with voice, video and closed captions.
Unlike Microsoft 365, the Office 2024 license does not include cloud storage or the AI‑driven Copilot assistant, and it does not provide the subscription‑based updates that 365 offers.
