A Los Angeles judge granted former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko temporary guardianship of Hayden Panettiere’s estate during a virtual hearing on Oct. 8, according to Gulf News. The hearing featured a brief on‑screen appearance by the couple’s 11‑year‑old daughter, Kaya, who confirmed her father’s presence before the judge.

Klitschko’s lawyer, Diane Y. Park, asked the court for broader authority, including the power to involve police to investigate and recover estate property that may have been taken by outsiders. The judge approved the temporary guardianship and set the next hearing for Dec. 7, noting that Kaya will not need to attend.

Klitschko initially filed for guardianship on Sep. 24, arguing that swift action was needed to open probate and protect the assets before they could be lost, as reported in a prior Felo News story here. Panettiere died on Aug. 16 after being found unresponsive in Greenville, South Carolina, and her death remains under investigation.
