The nephew of the late singer requested a ten‑day postponement, citing the need for counsel.

Dolly Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, filed a motion on Friday in a Tennessee court asking that the hearing on a temporary restraining order granted to the singer’s estate be delayed by about ten days.
Seaver, who was hand‑picked by Parton to announce her death and runs Squadron Augmented Protection Services, says he needs more time to retain a lawyer because his chosen counsel cannot meet him until the following Monday. He also stated he would not object to the order being extended until a new hearing date.
She’s Alive, the entity created to manage Parton’s estate and run by longtime manager Danny Nozell, accused Seaver of threatening violence, demanding payment and possessing access to weapons. Chancellor I’Ashea L. Myles has not yet ruled on the motion.
