Kirk Franklin became the first artist to achieve ten No. 1s on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart when “This Time,” his collaboration with rapper GloRilla, debuted at the top of the Oct. 10 chart, Billboard reported on Oct. 7. The song logged 1.7 million U.S. streams, reached a 2.5 million‑person radio audience and sold 1,000 copies in the week ending Oct. 1, according to Luminate data. The track, released Sept. 25, appears on Franklin’s forthcoming double‑album I Am What I Am, slated for Oct. 30, and interpolates Mandrill’s 1972 “Children of the Sun.” GloRilla, who grew up singing in a Memphis church choir, has now led every Hot Gospel Songs entry she’s featured on. Franklin’s previous gospel‑chart milestone was a two‑week No. 1 with “Rain Down on Me” in 2024, also featuring GloRilla and Maverick City Music.
