Kaiser Reef repays Auramet gold loan, freeing $600,000 monthly cash flow

The repayment, funded by Henty mine output, leaves the company with $40 million in cash and a deferred gold delivery to Catalyst Metals.

Kaiser Reef announced on 19 October 2026 that it has fully repaid the senior secured Auramet International gold loan that financed its 2025 acquisition of the Henty gold mine in Tasmania. The final 104‑ounce delivery this month completed 18 monthly instalments totalling 1,872 ounces, according to the company’s statement.

The loan repayment immediately releases $600,000 of operating cash flow each month, which the firm says will be redirected to development and mine‑life extension programmes at Henty and its growth project at Maldon in Victoria. With the loan retired, Kaiser’s only remaining gold delivery obligation is a deferred consideration to vendor Catalyst Metals – 50 ounces per month through October 2030 – leaving 2,400 ounces still outstanding on that arrangement.

Managing director Brad Valiukas told SMH that the Henty mine’s cash‑generating capacity “helped us acquire Henty, and repaying it is an important milestone for Kaiser.” He added that the repayment “immediately increases our retained production each month.” The company reported A$40 million in cash and bullion at the end of September and a statutory after‑tax profit of $16.8 million for FY 2026, up from a $20.24 million loss in FY 2025.

Kaiser’s resource base now stands at 5.53 million tonnes grading 3.46 g/t gold for 615,000 ounces, with the Henty mine holding 429,000 ounces at 3.16 g/t. The ore reserve at Henty is 1.91 Mt at 3.22 g/t, supporting a targeted production profile of 32,000 ounces per annum.
