TimesNowNews reported that Hyundai's Bayon SUV has begun arriving at dealership stockyards in India ahead of its scheduled launch on October 26, 2026.
The footage shows a red, India‑spec Bayon being unloaded, featuring a dark roof, blacked‑out pillars and roof‑rail cladding. At the front, slim LED daytime‑running lights sit above lower‑positioned headlamps, while the rear includes vertical taillamp lighting, a roof spoiler and a prominent tailgate bearing the Bayon name.
Inside, the vehicle is equipped with two 12.3‑inch displays – a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system – along with shortcut buttons, rotary controls and USB‑C ports. The automatic version shown includes an IVT gear selector.
Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will be powered by a 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated MPi petrol engine delivering 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six‑speed manual or the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Bookings are open online and at authorised dealers for a refundable amount of Rs 11,000, with final pricing to be announced on launch day.
The Bayon will sit between Hyundai's Venue and Creta models in the Indian lineup. The company also highlighted a generative‑AI voice assistant, an NVIDIA‑accelerated navigation cockpit and over 70 Bluelink connected‑car features, with OTA updates supporting up to 19 vehicle controllers and multilingual voice commands.
