Grill’d plans new Albert Street outlet amid Brisbane burger cluster
The fast‑food chain will add a new venue to a street already packed with rival burger outlets.

Grill’d has lodged development paperwork with Brisbane City Council to turn the vacant former EB Games shop on Albert Street into a restaurant with seating for up to 153 diners, the outlet reported on October 19.
The site lies between Queen and Adelaide streets, a short walk from Grill’d’s existing Wintergarden location and within metres of Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Hungry Jack’s and KFC. Plans show a prominent entry, illuminated signage and raised booths overlooking the street.
Property Projects Australia, the consulting firm that prepared the council assessment, said the proposal would "activate the Queen Street Mall frontage" and add a "high level of public amenity and service offering" to Albert Street’s growing food precinct.
Signage has already been installed next to the Rocking Horse venue, and the former EB Games store relocated opposite the site.
