Garmin's online services are down, leaving users unable to upload new activity data, the company said on October 14, 2026.
The Connect service, which syncs watches, bike computers and other devices to the internet, is offline. A notice on the website reads, “Garmin Connect is currently experiencing an outage… we are working to resolve it as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience.”
Existing historical data remains accessible, but new recordings cannot be sent to Garmin's servers or to third‑party services such as Strava. Strava’s own upload‑status page was also not loading, preventing users from seeing the impact of the outage.
Garmin notes that occasional outages occur due to technical issues and references a notable ransomware‑related outage in 2020 that disrupted its websites and devices for several days.
